Construction of the new LSU Health Foundation building has started! Situated on the same site as the previous building destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, the new 4 story 22,000 square foot office building will be home to the Foundation and other LSU related entities. Across the street from the new University Medical Center, the Foundation building will act as a gateway to the New Orleans campus of the LSU Health Sciences Center.
Construction has begun and will last 400 calendar days to be completed in April 2013. The $8.5 million FEMA funded project is a replacement of the previous facility. The first level includes parking and an elevator lobby with upper floors providing 7,500 square feet of office space on each floor.
