We are pleased to welcome several new staff members to the LSU Health Foundation, New Orleans team. Two new staff members have joined the development team led by Chief Development Officer, Krystal Oliveira; and one has joined the accounting team led by Chief Financial Officer, Timothy Hemphill.
The LSU Health Foundation welcomes Lori E. Green as Director of Stewardship. Green has worked with donor relations and stewardship colleagues around the world to build robust programming, and fundraising professionals from across the country to foster philanthropic support for essential programming and innovative initiatives.
Green brings a wealth of stewardship and development experience from higher education and healthcare to the LSU Health Foundation team. She most recently served as Director of Development for the School of Education at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. There, she developed a substantial fundraising effort for the School, successfully contributing to UAB’s $1 Billion campaign.
Green previously served as Assistant Director of Planned Giving at UAB; Director of Investor Relations at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio; and Public Relations Director for the Community Mental Health and Recovery System in Licking and Knox Counties, Ohio.
Green, a native of Licking County, Ohio, is a graduate of Denison University and received her master’s of library science degree from Kent State University. She was a founding member of the Association of Donor Relations Professionals.
Hope Thomas joins the LSU Health Foundation as a Database Associate this spring. A graduate of LSU’s flagship campus in Baton Rouge, Thomas brings expertise in the specific technology to help the Foundation manage databases and communications.
Thomas has experience in multiple database platforms and both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis having served at multiple organizations including: Tulane University Department of Comparative Medicine, Tulane University Department of Surgery-Clinical Research, Louisiana LPC Board of Examiners, and the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.
Thomas has volunteered for local rescue groups like Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) and Zeus’ Rescues.
Iris Vallare comes to the LSU Health Foundation as an Accounting Associate. Using her years of expertise in finance and business management, Vallare starts this spring.
Graduating from University of New Orleans, Vallare continued on to work for several non-profits serving our community including New Home Ministries and the Lower 9th Ward Neighborhood Empowerment Network (NENA).
Vallare has also worked with Chase Bank and Insurance Auto Auctions.
