Dr. Woltering and the Neuroendocrine Tumor Clinic
Under Dr. Eugene Woltering’s leadership, the Neuroendocrine Tumor Clinic has grown from his original vision to the only multi-disciplinary clinic of its kind in the region. His team has worked together to save thousands through the relentless pursuit of innovation, discovery, and team building; which, has resulted in success at tackling a rather complex disease. Beyond having the best outcomes for patients in the nation, what resonates so deeply with his patients is his undivided attention, personal care, and hope provided to patients and families like your own.
For the annual Doctors’ Day holiday in 2020, we were pleased to honor Dr. Woltering and his work with the NOLA NETS clinic at LSU Health Sciences Center and Ochsner Health System. The unprecedented events of 2020 led to a socially distanced celebration in the form of a drive-by tribute to the physician, educator and champion of cancer treatment and research. This parade was a welcomed moment of joy not only for the Woltering Family, but the LSU Health community who have proven time and time again that we can rise to any challenge and become stronger and even more supportive because of it.

The Gifts of Gratitude program offers our patients a meaningful way to thank the caregivers who have treated them, and through charitable gifts, make it possible to help care for others. To support the work of Dr. Woltering and any physician who has made a difference to your life, click here.
