Baton Rouge Flood Relief

Historic rainfall and unprecedented flooding have impacted many of our neighbors, as well as, our very own LSU Health New Orleans faculty, residents, staff, and students. Homes and vehicles were taken over by flood water, clinical sites and hospitals have been temporarily closed or moved due to damage, and textbooks, uniforms, and supplies necessary for training have all been washed away.

For many of us, it is a painful reminder of the losses, displacement and devastation experienced following Hurricane Katrina. We understand what our neighbors are going through and many of our supporters have reached out to us and asked about ways to help members affected on our campus. For that reason, we have created the Flood Relief Fund. This is a fund that will allow our LSU Health New Orleans faculty, residents, staff, and students the opportunity to apply for emergency financial assistance, at a time where they are experiencing extreme hardship due to the Great Flood of 2016.

Our thoughts and prayers will remain with our faculty, residents, staff, and students and their families as they manage their lives during this difficult time. To donate, please follow this link: Give Now
