Bert Wallace: Founder and President Emeritus Passes Away
Bert Wallace, beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, coach, Marine, and mentor to many, passed away at home on April 1, 2014 after an extended illness which he battled courageously. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Matthews who he cherished for 30 years. It was an inspiring love and marriage and they were inseparable from the day they first met. His family was always his number one priority. He was a proud father to his two sons, Bryan Moser Wallace (Candice) of New Orleans and Michael Arthur Wallace (Lauren) of Atlanta, who predeceased him in 2013, and his two granddaughters who were the light of his life, Neely Elizabeth and Rylie Kole Wallace.   Read More
Jack Laborde: From Chairman to King
The Chairman of the LSU Health Sciences Center Foundation, John P. "Jack" Laborde, was named the King of Carnival for 2014!

Laborde has served as an active member of the board for the LSU Health Sciences Center Foundation for many years. He has made countless contributions to the Foundation, as well as many other business, civic, and charitable organizations and also served as Chairman of the Sugar Bowl Committee.

The New LSU Health Foundation Building

Construction of the new LSU Health Foundation building has started! Situated on the same site as the previous building destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, the new 4 story 22,000 square foot office building will be home to the Foundation and other LSU related entities. Across the street from the new University Medical Center, the Foundation building will act as a gateway to the New Orleans campus of the LSU Health Sciences Center. Read More
